Ultimate autumn shoe?
Right size, right fit! As a long time Asics runner I am not surprised. First run was 10km on wet asfalt. Good grip and good damping. Feels like double distance could work as well.

Warm and rather waterproof running shoe
A warm and, for the most part waterproof shoe. I wouldnt sink it in water on purpose but it keeps slight to medium rain out and the feet warm on autumn and winter dags. It will get too warm in the summer but perfect for northern European autumn and winters.

Supportive and Comfortable
These are my third pair of these shoes. They are very comfortable and support in just the right place.
My runs are short (betw 5-7k) but I have worn them for 15+k walks and they are great.
The gortex element works well. You will still get wet if caught in a downpour but for runs across a wet field with longish grass or in the rain they tend to keep you dry overall.
Really pleased with them and hence bought them again and again and again.
Will have to try the 2000-11 GTX next time as the 2000-10 are no longer being made. They will have a lot to live up to
