Winter wonder
These trainers were recommended by my podiatrist for my pronating feet. I wear them mainly for walking. So a waterproof version of my favourite trainer is an essential - especially in wet, winter weather. They look good too and feel sturdy.

Poor quality
The material asics are now using to line the heel areas is useless. It last only a few wears before it starts to degrade and fall apart. Their trainers never used to ve like this. What happened?

Classic great trainer
Ive had gt2000 for a few years now and having tried a few ither brands in my time, I always navigate back to these. Trying out the goretex ones this year for the first time to see if they keep my feet dryer through the winter. So far so good.

Timeless classic
Energising , uplifting and motivating . These trainers are my soul mate and have been with me for my impressive 26 years of distance running ! I purchase a new pair every 9-12 months - the comfort , support and cushioning allows me to soar and glide rather than plod and strain . I have never had a knee problem and rarely need to stop due to injury : I am confident the core and design of these trainers are contributors and have never discovered any better . The increased impact of running on joints and bone of a veteran runner make us cautious and concerned about long term consequences . These have never failed and I still feel invigorated , spirited and vitalised during and after running .
